Always wish you could participate in Critical Mass,
Midnight Ridazz, or Crank Mob, but are more of a morning person?  Then
today's Downtown LA bike ride was for you.  At 8:30 this morning,
roughly 100 bicyclists, Metro Staff, and yours truly took an scenic tour
on the streets of Downtown.

Dave Sotero describes
the course over at The Source:

"With the help of LAPD bicycle escort, cyclistsmoved through several downtown districts at a healthy pace, from ElPueblo to Civic Center, Financial District, Historic Core, LittleTokyo/Arts District and back.  The approximately four-mile bikeprocession passed five Metro Stations and numerous Metro and Dash buslines along the way."

For more pictures, check out this Flickr stream.  Additionally, KTLA has video coverage of the event here.

Don't forget, tomorrow is Bike to Work Day around the County.  That means free transit rides for cyclists (bring your bike) and "pit stops" with free goodies.  For a list or participating transit agencies, click here.  For a map of the pit stops, click here.  And, be sure to send any great pictures (or video!) from your commute to damien@streetsblog.org  for publication in our Bike to Work story!
