Bike Long Beach Bike to Work Day. To mark National Bike to Work Week (May 14-18), the City will join with Metro and other Southern California communities to promote commuting to work by bicycle on Thursday. Long Beach has promoted Bike to Work Day since 1996, and this year’s activities will include a morning pit stop at Long Beach City Hall Civic Center Plaza for coffee, bike safety checks, and other bicycle-related giveaways. More details and additional pit stops will be posted on www.BikeLongBeach.org
May 17 – Bike to Work Day at California State University, Long Beach, 7:00-9:00 am. The community is invited join with CSULB to celebrate at the CSULB Beach Circle Bike Lanes, located adjacent to the Track & Field by the College of Business Administration and the University Art Museum.
