Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Deputy CEO Paul Taylor, Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) General Manager Jaime De La Vega and representatives from the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, C.I.C.L.E, Good Samaritan Hospital, USC and Safe Moves will announce a series of events aimed at getting more Angelinos to bicycle to work, school and other destinations throughout L.A. County to reduce traffic and air pollution for “Bike Week L.A.” May 14-18. A series of events are scheduled all week to promote bicycling in Los Angeles, including bike blessing at GoodSam, Wednesday Mid-City/Expo Line Ride, Bike to Work Thursday (free rides on Metro with bike helmet), and Bike to School Friday.
