The City of Los Angeles, Board of Public Works' Office of Community Beautification (OCB) provides resources and materials free of charge for stakeholders of the City of Los Angeles. Services include beautification grants (CB Grant), hand tools for volunteer cleanup efforts, graffiti removal services (call 3-1-1 to report graffiti), and a school outreach program. Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup, the nation's largest community improvement program, takes place a year long campaign, involving an estimated 3 million volunteers and attendees. The hardworking volunteers donated more than 5.2 million hours in 2011 to clean, beautify and improve more than 33,000 communities during more than 16,500 events in all 50 states and beyond. |
